Innovative Partnership Aims to Revolutionise UK Recruitment with AI

We are excited to announce that HR GO and the University of Kent have been successful in a joint application for a knowledge transfer partnership (KTP) from the UK's innovation agency, Innovate UK. This will provide half of the funding for a two-year research project employing AI and machine learning to the recruitment process.

The goal is to provide enhanced service to businesses by matching candidates more accurately and efficiently to individual roles. In addition, the process will provide enhanced feedback to candidates.

HR GO has been investing heavily in tech solutions over the past several years to provide increased customer and candidate service. As a people centred business, we view technology as a tool to provide solutions in transparency, efficiency, and accuracy, freeing up our consultants to provide outstanding customer and candidate service.

As one of the UK's leading recruitment agencies, our top priority is to place our candidates into the best possible roles for their individual skills, experience, qualifications and personality. Anything less, and we cost our clients money, and our candidates self-confidence. That's why we were eager to spearhead the development of this new capability designed to specifically address those areas.

The co-leads of the project are John Parkinson, HR GO's Chief Information Officer and Dr Anna Jordanous, senior lecturer at the University of Kent's School of Computing. The team is now at the stage of hiring an associate to deliver the project over the two years. For more details, read the full news release here.

HR GO's current academic partnerships with the University of Kent also include developing quarterly research papers on UK Market Trends by Kent Business School's Dr Samantha Evans and Dr Catherine Robinson.
